Q: Where is Top Catch Charters located?
A: We are based in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Our address is 125 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba QLD 4557.
Q: How do I find the boarding point?
A: We board from outside the Sunreef Dive Centre / Riceboi restaurant, right next to the larger whale‑watching and commercial cruise boats. It’s located at the corner of Parkyn Parade and River Esplanade.
Charter & Boat Details
Q: What boat do we fish from and how many people can you take?
A: We have one vessel, the Nautic Boy, which is a 45‑foot Harriscraft. Maximum capacity is 12 passengers.

Q: What’s included on the boat?
A: We supply all fishing gear, bait, and equipment. Light refreshments, water and soft drinks are included.
Q: What about exclusive/private charters?
A: You can hire the whole boat (up to 12 people) – ideal for groups, parties, corporate events, etc. These can be tailored in terms of time, departure schedule, and optional catering packages.
What to Bring & What to Know
Q: What should I bring?
A: Suggested items include:
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)
- Appropriate clothing (layers; light clothes for sun, windbreaker if it’s cooler or breezy)
- Non‑slip footwear – thongs are fine
- Snacks or lunch, depending on trip length (we supply water & soft drinks only)
- Any personal items (medications, seasickness remedies)
Q: Can I bring my own fishing gear?
A: Yes. While we provide full gear, you are welcome to bring your own, especially if you prefer certain rods or lures. Make sure your gear is appropriate for offshore / reef fishing. (If needed, check with us in case of size or space constraints.)
Q: Are there age or other restrictions?
A: Capacity is for up to 12 people. As for age, minimum age is
- 6 for half day
- 8 for ¾ day
- 12 for the full day trips

Here’s a guide to what species are likely around at different times, and what anglers often catch. Weather, tides, and local fish movements can vary, so this is a guideline rather than guarantee.

Q: How do I make a booking?
A: You can book directly via our website using the “Book Now” button or call us at 0429 013 012.
Q: How much will it cost?
A: Prices vary depending on the trip length, group size, whether you hire the whole boat, etc. Some examples (per person):
- Half‑day (5 hrs): ≈ AUD $200
- 3/4‑day (7 hrs): ≈ AUD $240
- Full‑day (9 hrs): ≈ AUD $280
- Exclusive/whole‑boat charters are notably more (see website).
Using a Gift Voucher
Q: I have a voucher—how can I use it to book online?
A: If you’ve received a Top Catch Charters gift voucher, you can redeem it during the online booking process:
- Go to our booking page: https://topcatchchartersmooloolaba.rezdy.com
- Select your preferred charter type and date.
- When prompted at checkout, enter your voucher code in the “Gift Card / Promo Code” field. Your voucher code will usually start with the letter V
- The system will apply the value of your voucher to your booking.
- If your voucher doesn’t cover the full amount, you can pay the balance via credit card.

Q: What is your cancellation / weather policy?
A: Trips are subject to weather. If conditions are unsafe, we may cancel or reschedule. We will call you the day prior to confirm (often after the 4pm weather update). If you need to cancel, see our cancellation policy on the website (deposit requirements, refunds etc.).
