Price increase

by Top Catchon 12 June 2018in blog

Unfortunately rising prices, the cost of living and inflation are a part of the modern world. So after 7 years of service and a massive increase in the price of our expenses (fuel, insurances, bait, maitanence, etc.) we will be SLIGHTLY increasing our prices. As of the 1st July 2018 our 1/2 day charters will now be $150 p/p, our 3/4 day charter $190 p/p and our full day $230 p/p. all bookings made before this date will be charged at the current rate. We hope everybody understands and look forward to providing the same great product!!!

Sunshine Coast fishing 17th April

Sunshine Coast fishing 17th April

by Top Catchon 18 April 2018in blog

We are finally getting a good spell of weather and we have had some great trips. Snapper and pearl perch are starting to show up and there are still plenty of summer species about like mackerel, emperor hussar and heaps of trevally along with the year round offenders like tuskfish, cobia, cod. The first photo that you wont see on our page very often is a small mouth nannygai and a good one at that! its a species usually found north of fraser island. Its a great time to fish and we have plenty of trips planned this week and weekend.

Fishing report 23rd March 2018

by Top Catchon 18 April 2018in blog

Here are some of our recent catches from the last couple of trips.  Hopefully this gives everyone some inspiration to get out on the water this coming week!  Don’t forget it’s Good Friday this week and there are still a couple of spots left. I have been a bit unmotivated with the Facebook updates lately because of this weather!! Relentless wind and rain have kept us inshore and we have only got out for 9 trips in 7 weeks but our fishing grounds have been getting a good rest and when we have got out overall numbers of fish caught have been above average! The forecast for the upcoming week and EASTER weekend is pretty good. fingers crossed nothing changes. We will be back out there on Sunday and most of the week has trips booked in so if you would like to join us please call 0429013012 or check out our new online booking system on our website.

Beautiful fishing weather in Mooloolaba 10 January 2018

by Top Catchon 18 April 2018in blog

Well how about this spell of weather… Awesome conditions to spend a day on the water and right at the right time with the holiday season.  We have been non stop so fishing updates have been few and far between but here is a quick update.  Pelagics are definitely on the target list at the moment with mahi, wahoo, mackerel and marlin all being boated from the outer reef belt this week.  In close we have also boated mackerel, cobia and marlin recently. And from the reef fish sector tusk fish, squire, moses perch, morwong, hussar and sweetlip have been boated on the inner reef belt and from the barwon banks tusk fish, squire, pearl perch, hussar, moses perch along with the odd red throat and coral trout. The fishing has been a case of diamonds or rocks, no consistenency, some awesome days and some slow days but thanks to all that have come along. Head over to our Facebook page to see some pics;
