Holiday fishing on the Sunshine Coast

 Here are some of the holiday highlights, had some really good days so far and some slower but overall very happy with results. Its good to be back!! We landed our biggest snapper for the season so far at 81cm well done Kerry, also been getting ready for the snapper and pearl perch closure, that is coming into effect on the 15th July – 16th August by honing our soft plastic and jigging skills, ready to target cobia, kingfish and amberjack on the full day charters.

CORONA VIRUS/COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS – NEWS UPDATE

Its good news too, CORONA VIRUS CAN’T BEAT US, WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS! We are now taking bookings for next weekend. We are allowed to operate as long as we follow the safety directives put out by the health department. social distancing is the biggest hurdle on a boat to overcome, so to maintain 4 square meters, passenger numbers will be capped at 6 people for the time being. Following the guidelines will include what we were doing before we shut down back in march plus some new ones to keep our staff and passengers safe.
Processes in place will be –

  1. SOCIAL DISTANCING (top priority and will be enforced)
  2. INCREASED CLEANING REGIME (Common areas and touch points).
  3. EXTRA HAND WASH STATION (Staff and passengers will be reminded of good hygiene practices and extra hand sanitizer and soap will be provided)
  4. HEALTH AND TRAVEL QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED
    (anyone with flu symptoms will not participate and if any Aussies return from overseas cannot participate until they have quarantined).
  5. COVID SAFE APP (Staff will be required to download the app to ensure we are not putting anyone at risk and customers will be encouraged to do the same).
  6. OUR MAXIMUM PASSENGER NUMBER OF 6 (to adhere to social distancing requirements).
  7. FOOD SUPPLIED WILL STOP (Customers will have to bring their own food for the time being to eliminate risk. Bottled water and cans of soft drink will still be supplied).

We are relying on the local support for the time being and are confident the 10 years of service, building relationships and clientele, will get us through until we return to normal operation. We do still have the costs to cover and 6 people at our normal prices wont do it, so until we can take 12 people again the following prices will be in effect;

NEW PRICING:

  • Half day (5hrs) – $175
  • 3/4 day (7hrs) – $215
  • Full day (9 hrs) -$255

We are in the process of updating the prices on our website and online booking platform. As always the trip is subject to weather and now to getting the 6 passengers to cover the expenses. We are optimistic about the future again and I couldn’t be in a happier space today.GOOD ON YOU AUSTRALIA! AND ESPECIALLY QLD! We are beating this. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS FROM HERE.
