Unfortunately, rising prices and the increased cost of fuel and transport is forcing us to raise our price. Fuel is a large portion of expenses and has already reached $2/L, with experts saying that it may reach $3/L by Easter. It is a regretful necessity.
From the 1st of April 2022 our new prices will be:
HALF DAY (5-hour trip)
Individual Price: $170
Exclusive Boat M-T: $1575
Exclusive Boat F- S: $1840
3/4 DAY (7-hour trip)
Individual Price: $210
Exclusive Boat M-T: $1890
Exclusive Boat F- S: $2270
FULL DAY (9-hour trip)
Individual Price: $250
Exclusive Boat M-T: $2250
Exclusive Boat F- S: $2700
MAXI DAY (12 hour): $3360
All bookings made prior to the 1st of April 2022 (with a deposit) will be honoured at the current rate.

Hope this post finds you well. School holidays are on and spring is an awesome time of year to come fishing. The mornings are crisp and the days have been warm and sunny perfect for both the angler and the fishes! Plenty of whales being sighted as well creating the perfect backdrop while winding in a fish or three.
Its good news too, CORONA VIRUS CAN’T BEAT US, WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS! We are now taking bookings for next weekend. We are allowed to operate as long as we follow the safety directives put out by the health department. social distancing is the biggest hurdle on a boat to overcome, so to maintain 4 square meters, passenger numbers will be capped at 6 people for the time being. Following the guidelines will include what we were doing before we shut down back in march plus some new ones to keep our staff and passengers safe.
Processes in place will be –
We are relying on the local support for the time being and are confident the 10 years of service, building relationships and clientele, will get us through until we return to normal operation. We do still have the costs to cover and 6 people at our normal prices wont do it, so until we can take 12 people again the following prices will be in effect;

We are in the process of updating the prices on our website and online booking platform. As always the trip is subject to weather and now to getting the 6 passengers to cover the expenses. We are optimistic about the future again and I couldn’t be in a happier space today.GOOD ON YOU AUSTRALIA! AND ESPECIALLY QLD! We are beating this. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS FROM HERE.

The winter species have definitely arrived and the pearl perch and snapper are in great numbers on the outer reef belt! The angler of the month goes to Marcus who nabbed a 70cm snapper and backed it up soon after with an 86cm Well done! Also boated was a legal red emperor 57cm which is very rare for us South Queenslanders.
Due to demand we have decided to start “whale watching” tours on board Top Catch. These will run through the whale season mid Jue to end of September while the majestic whales migrate through our beautiful waters. We offer small groups (maximum 12 passengers) the chance to see whales migrating in their pods and showing their young how to enjoy themselves by splashing and jumping around. Hi all its been a while since our last post, some typical Easter weather, but good to be back on the water recently and hopefully we start to see our winter weather pattern start to kick in!!! Some great fish caught when we have been out and I guess the rest/break our reefs have received from rec fishing has done the area the world of good. There were big numbers of squire caught, just over and just under legal size so it’s looking like a good winter coming too…. Bring it on!!

SNAPPER SEASON HAS ARRIVED!!! 83cm and 7kg is the best one for the season so far. Also cobia (the one pictured went 15kg), tusk fish, coral trout, grassy sweetlip, moses perch, pearl perch and Maori cod.
